Learning outcomes |
The course is designed as a series of lectures and seminars related in content. These focus on introducing art history as a scientific discipline with a specific subject, goals and methods. Space will also be devoted to the institutional anchoring of the discipline in the Czech Republic (scientific and pedagogical institutions, museums and galleries, etc.) and the issue of the position of art history among other humanities-oriented scientific disciplines. Students will also get acquainted with basic specialised literature and periodical publications and learn the basics of research work.
