The course is designed as a survey course that introduces students to the main stages of the history of European art, also taking into account the situation in the Czech lands. Lectures in the winter semester will deal with art from the early Christian period to the 16th century. Against the background of historical and cultural context, the main movements, outstanding personalities and key works of each period will be presented.
