Late Gothic in Italy in Europe: an outline Renaissance a renascances Patrons and artist Brunelleschi Brunelleschi´s followers Alberti and architectutral theory Florence 1450-1500 Rome Urbino and Mantua Venice Rome around 1500 Raphael and his circle Michelangelo Mannerism and garden architecture Andrea Palladio Florence in the 16th century

Learning outcomes
The course will provide an outline of architecture in the 15th and 16th centuries in Italy pointing out not only formal aspects of objects, but also their cultural and ideological background. The main centers but also local regions will be presented.
