Course content
Obsah předmětu: 1. Preservation of the cultural monuments with the special attention to archeology - the present legislative 2. Practical knowledge and experiences with the archeological monuments in the Olomouc region. 3. The town in the Midde ages and possibilities of its reasearch by archeological methods (housing development, public places, infrastructure) 4. Půdorys středověkého města jako historický pramen The Middle ages town´s plan in view as the historical source 5. Town development in the Middle ages and basic principals of urbanism, locating and measuring of the plan in view 6. The house in the Middle ages and archeology 7. Sepulchral monuments and principles of their preservation 8. The documentation of archeological monuments and possibilities in using archeological methods. 9. Stratigrafické metody v archeologické praxi Stratigrafical methods in archeological praxis 10. The bases of laboratory preservation and conservation of archeological monuments

Learning outcomes
Preservation of archeological monuments - valid legislative and its problems. Methods and analysis of the medieval town plans in view and of the separated settlement units in connection with the research of archeology and related disciplines (methods of analysing of stratigraphical situations with the chronological interpretation of historical monuments, practical prospection, preservation and conservation).
Basic orientation in the topic.
Prerequisites
The finished bachelor degree of the History of Art.
