| Course content |
|
After brief introduction to terms and rules of professional interpreting (e.g. role of an interpreter, description of technical equipment, history of modern interpreting etc.) students will practice interpreting skills on simple texts and audiovisual examples of actual spoken texts (recordings of greetings, talks, speeches from international conferences, news, excerpts from business negotiations etc.). The skills include basic vocabulary, memory techniques, notes etc.
