The seminar focuses on practical training in the translation of a modern Korean literary text. Various translation methods will be used while working on the translation of a Korean short story, with emphasis on active joint discussion of the translation.
Graduates of the course will become more familiar with the techniques of literary translation, the history of translation into Czech, deepen their knowledge of the grammatical system of Korean when reading and translating into English, and expand their knowledge of stylistic devices and phraseological units. They will be able to independently prepare an extended glossary on a specific topic.
