Economy, company internal documentation into Japanese (Text: Management review) 4a. Legal documents in the company into Czech (Text: Agreement (type to be specified, eg Commision Agreement) 4b. Legal documents in the company into Japanese (Text: A contract for a future purchasing contract) 5a. Learning outcomes
The Translation seminar 4 closely follows the Translation Seminar 3. The aim of the Translation Seminar 4 is to deepen students' skills and knowledge when translating texts from Czech into Japanese and vice versa. Different types of texts are translated from thematic areas with which students are most likely to meet in the future as Japanese translators. Students broaden the vocabulary in given areas and get theoretically familiar with the topics of the translated thematic area.
Students learn how to analyze and interpret professional texts in detail and successfully solve various problems in translating them from / to Japanese. Students broaden the vocabulary in given areas and get theoretically familiar with the topics of the translated thematic area.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of the Translation Seminar 3 (DAS/PSJ3).

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Seminar Work

- active participation (70%) - submitting all translations and any other homeworks - submitting all translations in the final version (after review) - submitting final translation from the selected thematic area to Japanese (2 pages A4) - submitting final translation from the selected thematic area into Czech (2 pages A4)
