Course content
|
The programme and focus of the cycle varies each semester. The schedule of lectures is always published at the beginning of the semester. Lecture outlines (in the case of the Japanese Studies focus): Japanologist as interpreter/translator, employee of a Japanese manufacturing/business company, Japanologist in the cultural field, Japanologist in diplomacy, Japanologist in tourism, etc.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the possibilities of employment in practice, to make them aware of the real situation in the working environment / specific area of possible employment, what is needed for the performance of a given profession, what are the requirements, prerequisites and conditions for its performance, what the profession entails, how the market and the positions offered are changing, as well as the requirements for applicants for given positions (such as interpreter/translator in a corporate and business environment, translator of art literature, jobs in the cultural sector, diplomacy, tourism), and to give them inspiration. Lecturers will provide students with information and their experiences from the practice / concrete employment of a Japanologist / Sinologist / Koreanist / Indonesianist etc. and provide them with practical examples of situations they deal with in the particular profession. The lectures will also give students insight into the field of work. The lectures are intended for all students regardless of the year of study.
Students will get acquainted with the real situation in the field of their study and gain an overview of possible ways of their future employment.
