Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed primarily for students of the Chinese MA program. Its participants will translate original, non-literary texts from various fields which are commonly translated in commercial sphere. While the course is mostly practical, the students will also build theoretical background necessary for their further development - both practical and theoretical.
Ability to translate unmodified texts from Chinese.

Intermediate or higher knowledge of Chinese.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Participants of the course will be required to actively participate in classes and prepare for the classes at home (in particular analyze and translate assigned texts). The course will be concluded with analysis and translation of a non-literary text of 5 - 10 pages.
