Content: - formation of the borders of the Japanese state and current territorial disputes - nationalism and its current manifestations, historical self-reflection - American occupation and post-war reforms - Japan's bilateral relations with the USA, the PRC, both Koreas, Russia/USSR and the countries of SE Asia - the political system in post-war Japan - Minorities - the development of the post-war economy and the bubble economy - Japan's role in the current geopolitical situation in the region
