Course content
1. Introduction, content and aims of the course, students´ expectations, principles of informal education, standard and transculture approach to the intercultural education, intercultural competences. 2. Identity and its reflection. 3. Stereotypes, prejudices, discrimination - understanding of mechanisms which can bias reality. 4. Privilege. 5. Students´ activities and feedback I. 6. Students´ activities and feedback I., evaluation.

Learning outcomes
The subject Intercultural competences is implemented within the scope of Erasmus+ programme and the project Among Others in the cooperation with the Czech National Agency for International Education and Research and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. It focuses on the topic of intercultural competences, it follows current social issues and provides the opportunity to get acquainted with the development of intercultural competences by using the methods of informal education. The aim of the subject is to strenghten the identity and the sense of belonging. It builds respect and empathy, it reflects prejudices critically and teaches how to deal with discrimination. The seminar is interactive with the methods of self-experience. The emphasis is put on practical experience and students´ self-reflection.
Learning outcomes: - Students will get better orientation in the field of intercultural competences and informal education. - Students will become more aware of their own identity and the sense of belonging. - Students will be able to express their opinions with respect and empathy. - Students will be able to recognize prejudices and act against discrimination.
