Course content

Practicing of all basic skills in Kazakh language (reading, writing, speaking, listening) and also getting the opportunity to use the skills during the studying process in dialogues, role-plays, drills in grammar and other practical sessions. Language level A1 - CEFR (level A1 is split into A1.1 and A1.2)

Learning outcomes

The course concentrates on practicing all of the competencies: - Speaking - Listening - Reading - Writing
Development of all basic skills in Kazakh language (reading, writing, speaking, listening). The A1.1 course will allow you to get a grip on the "monster" we call the Kazakh language! You'll learn how to ask and answer important questions in your daily life. Furthermore, you will become acquainted with the Kazakh alphabet, numbers, and many verbs in the present tense. In a word, you will have the foundations that would permit this educational process to continue effectively and usefully. Language level A1 - CEFR (level A1 is split into A1.1 and A1.2).

Prerequisites
|
This is the first semester of the two-semester course Kazakh for beginners with native speaker. It is aimed at students with no previous experience with Kazakh.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test
Credits: - Maximum course attendance. It is permissible to skip the lesson for a good reason during the semester. - Regular home preparation. If the student is not prepared, he can be regarded as being absent. - Students are obliged to finish every course and pass all the progress tests during the semester and the final test. If students do not meet the minimum passing score of 65 percent, he/she can retake the progress test within a period of two weeks.
