Introductory lesson (3 x 45 mins): - exam requirements and study materials; - test (feedback, types of mistakes, etc.) Tutorials (3 times) - students have to register for a tutorial at least one week before the set date

Learning outcomes
|
The aim is to pass the final exam which checks if students' language skills are at the B1+ level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. The exam consists of the written and oral part. Students can check their language skills in the placement test at their disposal after enrolling in their studies (http://placement-test.ff.upol.cz).

Assessment methods and criteria

Written part: a) structured CV (must be sent by email one week before the written test at the latest); b) written test: reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary. Oral part: The oral part of the exam checks if students' language skills are at the B1+ level in both general language and subject-related language. Only students who have successfully passed the written test can do the oral part. a) self-presentation (study, work, professional plans); b) answering questions (related to the self-presentation);
