Course content
Modern written arabic I. II. The main focus of the course is to master the Arabic script, reading, and subsequently writing of simple Arabic texts. An essential part of the course is the explanation of the basic principles of grammar of the Arabic language, emphasis, however, is on conversational skills and practical vocabulary. Additional exercises will be devoted to listening to authentic records (passages from the Qur'an, Arabic songs, simple dialogues) and practical conversation. Essential literature for this course is the textbook ?Základy moderní spisovné arabštiny, díl I. Schedule of the course: The Arabic script (5 6 classes) Basics of the Arabic morphology including: The definite article, independent personal pronouns, adjectives, numerals, forming of regular plurals; broken plural, duals, verb paterns, root system of Arabic verbs, conjugation, declension, Arabic word structure, the nominal sentence, the past tense active voice verbs, the verbs Lajsa and Kana, the future tense in Arabic practical vocabulary conversational exercises

Learning outcomes

Student performance

Requirements for students Obtaining Credits: 1. Satisfactory attendance at classes - a maximum of two absences per semester. Students unprepared due to their absence in the previous lesson will not be tolerated. 2. Preparedness for a class, homeworks (an unprepared student will be considered absent). 3. partial tests during the semester (students must achieve a minimum grade 70%). Students who fail to meet this requirements, will have to write a comprehensive test in the credit week. Note: Credit can only be obtained by the end of the examination period of the semester in which the course took place (and only within the terms offered by the teacher).
