Course content
1. Introduction to interpretation (memory/voice exercises, nonverbal communication, interpretation notes etc.) 2. Tourism (Japanese - Czech) 3. Tourism (Czech - Japanese) 4. Culture (exhibition, concert, presentation of a writer etc.) 5. Community interpretation (at the doctor´s, police) 6. Community interpretation (at an office) 7. Journalism, popular science 8. Learning outcomes
Interpretation seminar 2 is a course for students of the Japanese philology (in the Master degree). It deals with translation techniques (esp. consecutive translation), and students practise translating in wider variety of situations. Students broaden their vocabulary, learn to use their memory in a more effective way, learn to take interpreting notes etc.
- deeper knowledge of interpretation techniques - wider vocabulary - improvement of verbal and non-verbal communication
Prerequisites
Students of the Japanese philology in the Master´s degree.
