Learning outcomes
|
The course provides a deeper and more detailed discussion of the Japanese language (through comparison with Czech and English). Lectures are followed by student presentations on assigned research topics.
Upon completion of the course, students will have a broader and more solid theoretical knowledge of Japanese grammar at the level of fonology, morphology, syntax and pragmatics and a better understanding of various relationships in the structure of modern Japanese. They will be able to apply this knowledge while analyzing a particular language phenomenon.

The course is offered for Japanese majors of the B.A. study program.
