Course content
The seminar provides students with general information about how to navigate in information institutions and resources. Students become familiar with the funds and services available from the library, Palacky University, or from the IP address of UP. Students will acquire knowledge that will allow it to locate relevant resources for the needs of scientific work, and primarily in the electronic information resources (EIR). It will focus mainly on Chinese and Japanese electronic information resources and at the end of the course on the analysis of data in MS Excel, which provides a strong base for data processing. Aim of the seminar is to gain orientation in an ever-increasing number and types of EIR using various kinds of the search techniques and appropriate data processing and presentation.

Learning outcomes
The seminar takes place in summer or winter semester and is graded by two credits. Credits are awarded for meeting attendance and work on the chosen topic. Seminar is to provide students with general information about how to navigate in information institutions and resources. Students become familiar with the funds and services available from the library, Palacky University, or from the IP address of UP. Students should acquire skills that will allow it to locate relevant resources for the needs of scientific work, and primarily in the electronic information resources (EIR). We will focus mainly on japanese electronic information resources. At the end of the course will focus on analysis of data in MS Excel, which provides a strong background for analysis and data processing. Prerequisites
The course is designed for students II. Block bachelor study branch JAPANESE and CHINESE PHILOLOGY.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student

Credits are awarded for attendance, class presentation and work (case study) on the chosen topic.
