The course introduces students to political studies and questions of peripheries and centres. Students will study disciplinary approaches such as Politics, Geopolitics and political landscapes as processes of contact.

Assessment: (1) Attendance and class participation (20%): Students must not miss more than 2 classes. Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions. (2) Written and oral assignments (30%) (3) Term paper (50%): Students are required to submit a research paper based one of the topics covered in class.
