Course content
|
Fundamentals of categorical pastoral care: pastoral care for old and sick; mass media; ecumenism and pastoral care. People in the Church: layman, marriage and family, consecrated life, priesthood and pastoral activity of the Church. Understanding Church and Culture, Society, Inculturation, Evangelism, Mission.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce into categorical pastoral care.
Summarize the basics of categorical pastoral care: pastoral care for the elderly and the sick; explain and describe the functioning and importance of the media; find links between ecumenism and pastoral care; to newly grasp the question of people in the Church, especially to interpret the terms laity, marriage and family, consecrated life, priesthood and pastoral activity of the Church. Derive conclusions from the understanding of church and culture relations, society, inculturation, evangelism, mission.
