Course content
The seminar will outline three issues of current theological discourse: 1) human being created in God's image; 2) the Christian message of resurrection; 3) synodality as a way of life and activity of the church. All these three thematic areas will be studied in the texts of the documents of the International Theological Commission: Communion and Stewardship. Human Persons Created in the Image of God (2004); Some Current Questions in Eschatology (1992); Synodality in the life and mission of the Church (2018). In the introductory part of the subject, we will focus on the contextualization of selected questions in the whole of dogmatic theology; in the second part of the seminar, with the analysis of selected texts, we will focus on partial aspects of the given issue, namely: - God's image as an anthropological category in Scripture, tradition, magisterium and theology; - human being as a person in the community; - the event of Christ and our resurrection; - the anthropological and ecclesial aspect of the mystery of the resurrection; - synodality in Scripture, tradition and church history; - synodality as a perspective of ecclesiology and church life.
