Course content
CONTENT AND FOCUS Practical photography training extending the photography instruction provided in the regular study programme, focusing on related genres and techniques. TOPICS Portrait Arranged portrait using both natural and artificial light. Work in a home environment as well as outdoors, including types and techniques of lighting. Working with the photographed subject, possibilities of arrangement and stylization, demonstrations and practical exercises. Ongoing consultation of photographs. Urban Landscape, Architecture, Still Life Approach, composition and lighting, including examples of handling light contrasts. Rules and techniques of professional photography. Possibilities of free artistic interpretation. Demonstration of a large-format camera. Consultation of completed photographs. Reportage and Documentary Photography (optional) Photographing an event or ?street photography? (depending on circumstances). Advanced techniques for capturing motion and managing light contrasts. Consultation of completed photographs. Night Photography and Luminography (optional) Specific aspects of night photography. Managing strong light contrasts. Creative techniques of light painting. Consultation of completed photographs. Basics of Image Processing Editing photographs using specific examples. Adjustments and optimization of outputs for various purposes.
