Course content
The subject focuses on the role of massmedia in today's society, it also characterizes media production and journalism, the subject is also concerned with the studies of audience and medial products as well as the characteristics, aims and practical excercises of media education at schools.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The subject An Introduction into the Study of Mass Communication deals with mass media and their position in contemporary society and their effect on it. It focuses on media products (their kinds, content, significance and interpretation) and the study of audience which the productions are meant for.
This subject will provide basic knowledge of the media functioning in society, but students will also acquire abilities related to elaboration of basic media products.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation in the seminars (student can be absent three times at the most, in case of being absent more times, he/she cannot take the credit test), passing credit test (at least 70%).
