Course content
After completing this course the students will be able to deepen their knowledge of the history of the development contemporary concept of social pedagogy. They will acquire knowledge about the most recent developments in this discipline in Germany, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and France, and others. The students will also gain awareness about the specifics of working with target groups of social education in those countries, and about successful projects that have been implemented.

Learning outcomes
- Knowledge of the specifics of the contemporary concept of social pedagogy in other countries - Knowledge of the common features of social pedagogy and their understanding across different countries - Ability to compare the concept of social pedagogy in different countries with the development in the Czech Republic - Knowledge of the projects that have been successfully realized in practice for the target group of social education abroad
- More profound knowledge of social pedagogy, its theory and practice abroad - Extension of theoretical knowledge for the practice of social pedagogue

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

During the discussion, students will be able to characterize the specifics of social pedagogy in a selected country, they will also give examples of successful projects that have been implemented to improve the situation of target groups in that specific country. Students will find such a project on their own.
