Course content
The course focuses on the practical application of quantitative research methodology in social pedagogy. During the lectures we are approximated each phase of implementation of quantitative research from determining the problem, through the definition of hypotheses to their statistical verification. Special attention is paid to methods of obtaining research data and their first analysis. Furthermore, the students are acquainted with both simple and multivariate statistical analysis of data (particularly the analysis of variance, cluster and factor analysis) and analysis of metadata with their practical applications. In seminars, considerable attention is paid to software for statistical evaluation and data analysis and presentation of research results.
