Course content
Cognition in infancy: Basic cognitive processes, Higher cognitive processes; Conceptual development; The development of casual reasoning; Mnemotechnic strategies, Metamemory and cognitive development, Logical thinking, Piaget's theory of logical development; The "what" and "why" of children's cognition.

Learning outcomes
The course is designed for students interested in deeper knowledge of cognitive development of children and the work with foreign scientific literature.

Prerequisites
Excellent knowledge of German language - active and passive, written and spoken. Passive knowledge of English.
