Learning outcomes
The course will enable students to gain basic knowledge about the determinants of health and their influence on the individual. Among other things, students will become more familiar with the issue of lack of health and the presence of disease. Outcomes. The student will be able to describe the risk factors and changes that occur during illness. 1. Health psychology - definition of basic concepts, systems and models of health psychology 2. Health in the context of WHO - factors determining the health of an individual 3. Psychological and social factors affecting an individual's health - how to ensure optimal health? Diseases caused by stress, lifestyle and disease prevention, risk factors 4. Lifestyle and its impact on health - Sleep and mental health, active exercise in relation to mental health 5. Time management - how does time affect health? How to manage time to be healthy? 6. Social support and its relationship to an individual's health - who is the support in times of illness; what is it like to have a sick person in the family; what if social support doesn't work 7. Communication about illness - how to communicate about illness with family members, with children 8. Emotions and their impact on health. The influence of life situations on a person's health. 9. Alternative medicine 10. Perspectives on health psychology
