Course content
|
The social educator should be equipped with the basics of crisis intervention for its practice. In this course the students will be acquainted with both the theoretical basis of crisis intervention, case studies and practical examples.

Learning outcomes
|
- specification of crisis intervention (difference between crisis intervention and therapy) - knowledge of crisis (types, process of crisis and reaction to crisis) - knowledge of possible solutions (natural reaction, laic help, social mapping) - knowledge of basic crisis intervention procedures (establishing contact with people in crisis) - Frequent topics of crisis intervention in the work of a social pedagogue
- Get to recognize client in crisis situation - Know how to establish a relationship with a person in crisis - Know the basics of communication and work with emotions with people in crisis - Acquiring basic competencies for guiding people in crisis

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Final Report
Active participation in the seminar (participating in model situation, working with case report). Students with an ISP must meet 50% attendance in seminars and complete assignments in Moodle on time.
