Countdown The aim is for students to gain the ability to search for or separately and systematically obtain data on social facts, understand them, know the possibilities and limits of their reporting ability, and learn to sociologically interpret unsystematized information about their professional lives and those of their clients. The subject aims to introduce students to two basic approaches in social-science research (quantitative and qualitative). The first part of the subject will be dedicated to the quantitative approach. Students learn the logic of working in a quantitative paradigm by creating a team project. They will adopt basic research techniques (standardized interview, questionnaire) as well as data work possibilities. Subject matter will provide insight into ways of interpreting results from quantitative empirical investigations.
The student will be able to set a target for research and hypotheses, adopting data collection techniques, data analysis techniques. After taking the subject, he can write a research report. They adopt evidence-based social work.
