Course content
The theory of argumentation (elements of formal and informal logic, fallacies), theory of truth, the concepts of necessary and contingent truths, a priori/ aposteriori, modes of cognition and their certainty, the problem of secondary qualities and their objective existence, realism-antirealism debates, perspectivism, relativism, the problem of the knowledge of the trans-empirical, types of predication, the notion of analogy and its use in philosophy and theology.

Learning outcomes
The goal is to introduce students through systematic lectures to the essentials of argumentation and the theory of knowledge.
The student will understand the essentials of argumentation and will grasp main problems in the area of the theory of knowledge with special regard to theological application (the problem of predication concerning the divine).

Written exam

Exam which tests a) the general ability to analyze an argument, b) understanding of main concepts, theses and arguments in the field.
