The course covers selected topics of philosophical anthropology: (1) Introduction to Philosophical Anthropology. (2) The question of freedom of will (from antiquity to St. Thomas Aquinas). (3) The notion of man in antiquity with an emphasis on the question of the immortality of the human soul. (4) Psychology and anthropology of Thomas Aquinas emphasizing the question of the immortality of the human soul. (5) Complementary subjects. The course is designed as a combination of historical and systematic approach.

The course aims to introduce various aspects of philosophical exploration of man in their mutual connection. Emphasis is placed on the question of will and its freedom, the question of the nature of the human soul, its immortality and relation to corporeality.

Written exam
Even though the lectures are optional, the student actively participates in the lectures in their own interest. Student activity takes the form of questions and answers to teacher's questions. This activity is scored, with the result being added to the test result. The quality of the student's study is evaluated by a final written test with open questions. Details can be found at the beginning of the course in a document that the teacher sends to the faculty email addresses of the students. |
