Reading, translation and interpretation of selected Old Testament prophetic and wisdom texts, especially from Isaiah and Psalms.

Habit to use and not to underestimate the appropriate method for interpreting Old Testament text.
Ability to use secondary literature and other biblical tools for the interpretation of Old Testament texts.

Basic knowledge of Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Greek and of one world language.
KBV/PTSZ1 and KBV/PTHE2

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance
Interpretation of a selected pericope from the prophetic or wisdom literature of the Old Testament (the choice will be approved in advance by the teacher), the basic steps of scholar exegesis, critical evaluation of the used secondary literature.
