Course content
|
The course will focus on the following areas: poverty, debt, employment, education, housing, health care, security, disability, foreigners and minorities.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will be acquainted with the issue of exclusion of people outside the normal life of society and the impossibility to participate in it due to the unfavorable social situation. Socially excluded people face a number of problems that they often cannot deal with on their own without help. Students will be acquainted with the causes of social exclusion and the possibilities of helping these people.
One of the negative consequences of social exclusion is the disruption of social cohesion. Students will be able to apply the principle of equal treatment and non-discrimination to socially excluded persons. Students will also know the causes of social exclusion and how to help these people.

No special prerequisites are required for the study of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria

The course ends with a colloquium. The requirement to complete the course is participation in the fulfillment of assigned tasks and presentation of the selected topic at the seminar.
