Course content
|
The course will cover the terminological definition of basic concepts and an examination of the development of selected world religions. Animism, deism, totemism. Polytheism and monotheism. The religion of Judaism. The origins of the Bible and its significance. The development and origins of Christianity and individual Christian churches. Basic terminology of ethics, its classification, significance, and connections to other social sciences. General issues concerning the church and sects. The structure of the most significant Christian churches. The role of religion in the contemporary worldChristianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism.
