Course content

Key words of the field of conservation biology. History of conservation nature activities (from nature monuments to ecosystem approach). Global ecosystems and itd biodiversity, global trends. Biodiversity and its basic problems. Theory of hot spots accordingly types of biomes. Discussion about conservation priorities. Global change and biodiversity. Conservation nature in the Czech Republic.

The aim of the subject is presentation of actual trends in the frame of the Conservation Biology and applying of this one in the environmental studies.
