Course content
|
Students will gain a detailed knowledge of journalistic genres most commonly used for reporting on development issues and during the semester students will write two text outputs (news; interview or reportage). We will also discuss creating a media picture, ethical issues, and learn about development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Furthermore, we will focus on development issues in the media, media stereotypes of developing countries and working as a journalist in a developing country.

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the development issues in media, introduce the basic journalistic genres and show how to inform about development issues.
Explain the basic terminology, create a journalistic text.
