Course content
At the beginning of the course, students are introduced to the phases of the project cycle (programming, identification, formulation, implementation and evaluation). The core of the course is focused on the application of logical framework approach used for project planning. Using the assigned case study, students draft the stakeholder, problem, objective and strategy analyses, finally being able to formulate the logical framework matrix as well as budget and timetable of a project. Students also become familiar with an alternative approach used for project planning, with the Theory of Change. Topics that will be covered: theory of the project cycle application of the logical framework approach stakeholder, problem, objective and strategy analyses setting up logical framework matrix activity scheduling and budgeting preparing project proposal Theory of Change monitoring and evaluation of projects HR and financial management
