Course content
The attention is paid to the interpretation and further usage of the data gained from the experiments in the course of the solving the problematic connected with the study of reaction mechanisms. The attention is mainly paid to the ion reactions in solutions that are relatively easier than heterogeneous systems and that are more common in laboratory practise. 1. The importance of kinetics and mechanisms of chemical reactions. 2. Experimental methods of study of chemical reaction time. 3. Techniques of kinetic study in the gas phase. Modern experimental techniques. 4. Method of time constant determination - determination of reaction products and semi-products. 5. The influence of reaction conditions on the reaction time. Determination of kinetic equation. 6. Bodenstin approximation of quasi-stationar state. Consequential reaction. Superposed equilibrium. 7. Determination of activation parameters of chemical reaction. 8. Study of catalysed reactions - acid-based catalyses. Specific and general acid - basic catalysis. 9. Primary and Secondary kinetic isotopic effect. Isotopic effect of solvent. 10. Enzyme catalysis. 11. The influence of the media on chemical reaction. The influence of salts on the reaction time. 12. Classification of solvents and their influence on the chemical reactivity. Empiric and semi-empiric parameters of solvent polarity. 13. Reaction in highly acid and highly basic media. 14. Linear relations of Gibbs energy (LFER)
