Learning outcomes
The seminar focuses on key aspects of communication education, i.e. communication competences (from writing to effectiveness), communication skills and their development (reception: listening/reading vs. production: speaking/writing); communication role models (active creator or "instructed" receiver). In addition, we will look at, for example, the role of communication education in the curriculum of Czech language education for secondary schools; the communicates (texts) and the communicative situation (environment, communicants, their roles, etc.), or visual aspects in the communication process (listening vs listening/ oral speech vs speaking). How language and communication education differ or complement each other. We will focus on the practice of selected skills with a focus on the didactic aspects of communication education and its objectives (cognitive, formative, educational) and components (types of literacy; reading and writing / speaking and listening) in the field of Czech language for secondary schools.

On the basis of mastering theoretical knowledge to understand the basic parameters of communication education as a global strategy in teaching not only the native language. Active participation in seminars and completion of assignments. 75% participation in full-time teaching.
