Course content
Course description and content: Current issues in contemporary juvenile literature, their work out in the prose featuring child or adolescent protagonist. Contemporary adventure stories, sci-fi, fantasy in juvenile literature. Film adaptations, comparison with literary original, evaluation.

Course objectives: To evaluate contemporary trends in juvenile literature, To compare artistic value of contemporary juvenile literature, To provide thorough interpretation of chosen book of juvenile literature in context of author´s work, To formulate and present student´s own interpretation of chosen work of juvenile literature, To evaluate positive and negative aspects of film adaptations of chosen works of juvenile literature.
